Have you ever wondered what some teachers were like when they were younger? The Delta School’s Kerry Sullivan is an administrator and the Marion van driver . She safely and timely drops off and picks up students everyday. But, she was not always an administrator and van driver. In her teens, Mrs. Sullivan was a fast-paced drag racer! In college she raced with her drag racing friend. Her most memorable car was a beautiful, slick 1968 Camaro. It was orange with white race stripes and it could go a quarter of a mile in 14.6 seconds! That’s fast! Mrs. Sullivan’s friend asked her to fill in during a race, when the regular driver was unable to come. Her drag racing career was top-notch, but short. Today she disguises herself as a school van driver instead. But, what did she learn from her drag racing experience that might help her today? Mrs. Sullivan said, “It’s not about how fast you are going… it’s about the timing.”
